The 60th year of the Emperor on the throne 100,000 Yen Gold Coin

This gold coin was issued in 1986 (Shōwa 61) to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Emperor Shōwa’s accession to the throne. It is Japan’s first-ever commemorative gold coin and, as the first gold coin issued after World War II, holds tremendous historical value.
