Regarding the Issuance of the 2026 Japan Mint Set

In 2026, the Japan Mint will again offer a mint set of circulating regular coins.
The set contains six types of regular coins, from the 500-yen coin to the 1-yen coin, all minted in Reiwa 8 (2026) and in uncirculated condition. It also includes one copper-nickel alloy commemorative plate (medal) featuring a horse design, the year of manufacture, and the characters “丙午” (Hinoe Uma), commemorating the Year of the Horse in the Japanese zodiac.
There appear to be no major changes to the coin design. The difference is that the year number has changed from Reiwa7(2025year) to Reiwa8(2026year).

Planned sales volume: 104,000 sets
