Japan’s Ministry of Finance announced that it will sequentially issue coins commemorating the 100th anniversary of the national park system from 2024 to 2031.
This time, it announced the issuance of ¥1,000 silver coins for the fiscal year 2026 (Reiwa 8) featuring the Yoshino-Kumano National Park, Daisen-Oki National Park, Towada-Hachimantai National Park, Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, and Ise-Shima National Park.

The coin features Nachi Falls, the Odaigahara salamander (Hynobius boulengeri), and the White Wild cherry tree .
