This coin is a Japanese 10-yen coin issued in 1995.
It appears that several variations exist.
The most significant difference is whether there is a notch at the top of the staircase or not.
It seems possible to classify them in even greater detail, but the differences are so subtle that they are likely difficult to spot.
I’ve included an enlarged version of the photo on the left on the right.
Because the lighting is different, it looks quite like a different coin.
The difference lies in whether or not there is a gap in the area circled in red in the photo on the left.
As shown in the photo on the right, when you zoom in, you can see that there are versions where it’s clearly connected and versions where it’s broken.
