The TOKUSHIMA type depicts Great Buddha of Kamakura.
The Great Buddha of Kamakura is a large bronze statue of Buddha located in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, standing at a height of 13.35m. It was created around 1252, when Kanagawa, particularly Kamakura, was the center of Japanese politics. Subsequently, the building that housed the Great Buddha collapsed and was lost, and now it sits in the open on the temple grounds.
Even from afar, you can see its figure, and it has become a symbol of Kamakura. It has also been designated as a national treasure.
